Kayleigh and Sam had the most AMAZING wedding on June 27, 2020. The day started out with the girls getting ready at Leissa’s in Menomonie and then meeting me at the gorgeous new barn venue in Menomonie The Barn at Copper Creek! The girls got ready laughing, telling old stories about the good ol’ college days, and finished by helping Kayleigh into her dress! Once Kayleigh was dressed we did a father/daughter first look followed by some quick bridesmaids portraits (with those insanely beautiful bouquets by Allure Florists in Menomonie) so we could get the girls back into some A/C and out of the heat. Once the guys arrived (with beers in tow) they started themselves getting ready and laughing and joking while they waited for the ceremony to start. Kayleigh and Sam seen each other for the first time at the aisle and if you can’t tell from Sam’s cute smile he was super excited (and blown away by Kayleigh). During the ceremony the couple placed letters to each other in a box that they will read next year when we do this all over again because of the impact COVID has had on planning and events. I am so excited to hear what they wrote and can’t wait to see how reading those letters goes next year! After the ceremony we spent time with the bridal party and family before they left to Kayleigh and Sam’s airport hanger where the reception was being held. Once we got to the hanger we had to get pictures with Kayleigh and Sam’s two adorable fur babies, shots of their handmade custom (and delicious) cake by Nadia Cakes, and listened to loving stories of childhood, friendship, and love.

It could not have been a more perfect wedding day and I can’t thank the vendors that helped make this day so amazing! The Barn at Copper Creek is the most incredible barn venue this side of the state. It’s nestled in a little dead end street and as you pull up and see the barn and the animals it’s like walking into a little piece of country Heaven. The owners are incredible kind, and even brought us water to drink before the ceremony so we wouldn’t get hot, and it was just absolutely perfect. The flowers from Allure lasted ALL DAY and when its 90 degrees out for flowers to last all day looking as beautiful as those did it’s truly amazing. Kayleigh’s friend Elizabeth Erickson made all of the bridesmaids and her jewelry so if you’re looking for some custom pieces hit me up and I can connect you with her– her work is stunning! And finally, that delicious cake by Nadia cakes couldn’t have ended my time with this sweet couple any better. I am so excited to be back with them next year and to hear how the first year of marriage went, listen to their letters, see their funny and lively bridal party again, and spend my time capturing beautiful images of a beautiful day with a beautiful couple.
